Maison de la culture Janine-Sutto

The Maison de la culture Janine-Sutto, formerly known as the Maison de la culture Frontenac, is located east of the Ville-Marie borough. The cultural venue presents multidisciplinary shows and exhibits each year, in addition to developing cultural mediation projects and offering artist residencies. In 2018, to honour her memory and her invaluable contribution, the venue was officially renamed after actress Janine Sutto. Considering that the institution aims to reach an audience of all ages and from all walks of life, our mandate was to develop an accessible and inclusive platform. The symbol we created is inspired by the large windows that bring light into the building. The squares composing the animation come to life and transform into different variations and the rich colour palette will allow for a multitude of combinations over the coming seasons.
