MUSIQC is a free, centralized music streaming platform dedicated to promoting and celebrating Francophone music. Created in response to the fact that a small percentage of Quebecers listen to local music, the platform aims to reconnect Francophones with their musical culture and help artists reach their audiences once again.
Handpicked curators — yes, real humans! — regularly create playlists in a range of styles and moods, which users can access through their existing subscriptions to major streaming services. We were commissioned to design the visual identity and develop the website for this new platform.

In parallel with the development of the visual identity and website, we designed a web-based tool to quickly generate playlist covers. The system operates based on graphic parameters we defined beforehand.
The variable type automatically adjusts to the length of the words, always filling the full width of the layout. We also created an expansive texture that allows for endless visual variations depending on how it’s framed. It can be used as lines or solid shapes, and layered over a photo if desired; all while staying within the project’s color palette.
