Portrait(s) — Le théâtre à l’avant-plan

Directed by Jérémie Battaglia, Portrait(s): le théâtre à l’avant-plan is a series of in-depth interviews with artists taking part in the 2021 – 2022 season of the NAC French Theater Ottawa. The pandemic having paralyzed the cultural community for almost two years, this initiative aims to maintain the reflection around artistic creation while keeping the links between audience and artists alive. To contrast with the rather classic format of the interviews and to bring some joy to a cultural environment torn by the pandemic, we developed a strong, lively and colourful opening animation. This is how, on a rhythmic musical score, a dance of geometrical shapes and colour variations deploys itself.
