URBANIA magazine was born in 2003, shaking up the Quebec media landscape with its irreverence. To mark its 20th anniversary, journalist Tatiana Polevoy set herself the task of painting a portrait of this iconoclastic medium, which, with all its contradictions, helped push back the boundaries of journalistic freedom. Through an impressive array of visual archives, this book tells the story of the good times, the bad times and the head-scratching that forged URBANIA’s personality and made it a talent incubator that influenced an entire generation of creators.
