In the summer of 2021, Bouclair opened a new store in Montréal’s Griffintown neighbourhood. The front of the store displays the largest outdoor screen in town and Rodeo FX, who oversaw the content to be projected, gave us the mandate to create some original scenes to be broadcast there. Mobile is an interactive concept showing a structure synchronized with passers-by’s movements thanks to a camera system. It is a tribute to the object in a broader sense; shapes, textures and varied materials are staged in the projection. The second painting, Living Microcosm, is a generative concept that represents reinvented plants whose colour and light vary in real time, depending on the time of day. The scene also adapts to other weather data such as wind speed, rain and frost.
